COVID-19 UPDATE
The health and safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. With all the recent news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to communicate what has been our long-standing infection control practices as well as additional precautionary protocols we implemented. We are paying close attention to the CDC updates and we are focusing on precautionary measures and minimizing the risks.
With or without a virus threat, patient safety and infection control and prevention is of the highest importance to our facility. Our staff are trained regularly in optimal hand hygiene and infection control and prevention practices. These practices are part of our everyday care of our patients. Our staff will perform their hand hygiene practices many times during a patient visit and ask you to do the same! Masks of face coverings that cover the nose and mouth, are required for all patients and staff.
The health of our patients and staff is top priority. We love to greet you with hugs and handshakes! For now, we are replacing that with smiles and waves. We have increased in-office cleaning protocols to ensure that the reception desk, doorknobs, surfaces, and faucets are sanitized regularly and there is hand sanitizer available.
We have asked our staff to inform us of any symptoms, illness, or exposure to an infected person so that we can ask them to stay home. Staff are tested weekly for Covid-19. We also screen all patients via questionnaire prior to an appointment.
Unlike a hospital, we do not see sick patients at our private ambulatory surgery center and the risk of exposure to COVID-19 is low. We will continue to monitor the news and pay close attention to the CDC for updates. Please do not hesitate to ask if there are any additional questions or concerns.
